A Cable Runs Through It- Simple Cables Class

Simple Cables with Meg is coming up this Saturday! I thought I would put a little bug in your ear!

Saturday, 1/10 from 12-1:30pm
$25 per student, ages 16+.

Skills: Adventurous beginning knitter. Must be comfortable with cast on, bind off, knit, purl. Must be able to “read your knitting”.

Do you have an eye on an Aran sweater, but think cables are dif´Čücult? Well, some intricate cables can be complicated, but most cables are simple. Come to this class and learn the basic technique of using a cable needle to “swap” stitches and knit them out of order. We will also touch on how to read charts.

*Additional items not included in the course price: light-colored, medium worsted weight yarn in cotton or cotton blend. Straight or circular needles in yarn appropriate size. Cable needle of double- pointed needles, crochet hook, or circular needle in a size appropriate for yarn, Optional: Students are encouraged to bring a cable pattern to decipher or a cabled item to ‘read’ the cables.
