Ah, little sheepies!

With the state of the world being what it is these days, it's feels good to get the heck out of Dodge and back to your roots.  I think that's what any of us can hope to accomplish and why we knit, crochet, sew, embroider, or whatever it is that you do that craftily nurtures your spirit.   We went up to Boonville this weekend to the California Fiber Festival and I definitely came back feeling like I wanted to delve into some knitting while the smell of homemade soup wafts in from the kitchen.

The fair was great!  I missed the herding dog trials, but got to see the 4-H kiddos dressed in their whites receiving their awards.  I also loved walking through the livestock pens petting the sheep, goats, and watching the pigs slumber.  We also saw the sheep get sheared, which as an animal lover was a little difficult because I worry for the poor wittle sheepie, but knowing that it must be so to have all that luscious wool to knit!

Autumn has arrived!
