Isn't this supposed to be part knitting blog too? There's been a whole lotta sewing going on lately-huh?
With summer almost here (although it's feelin' like it today isn't it?) socks are the perfect project to be working on! They are small, portable, and a convenient project to take from the backyard BBQ to the baseball game!
You don't know how to knit socks??? Well, I didn't either until I took Meg's class! I swore I would never learn and now I realize how fun and simple they can be. Meg is teaching Toe-Up Socks Cat Bordhi Style on Saturday, June 21st from 2-6pm*. In this class students will learn techniques to make socks from the toe up using Cat Bordhi’s New Pathways for Sock Knitters book. After this class you will be able do a toe-up cast on, keep track of their increases, how to make a gusset and heel flap on a toe-up sock, and how to handle magic loop!
$90 per student including the book, $60 per student without the book, ages 16+. Skills: C/O, Knit, Purl, Circs.
*Can we entice you even more with our shipment of Hazel Knits sock yarn that should be arriving by the end of the week???
