Project Spectrum-along

In the spirit of expanding your creativity and branching out into other crafts we would like to invite you to participate with us in Project Spectrum 3, by Lolly Knitting Around! Some of you may have participated in PS 1 or 2 and know the drill, but for those of us who missed the boat before, we would like to encourage you to join us in this ambitious endeavor! Starting in March you can email us pictures or bring in your PS3 projects and we will proudly toot your horn on our blog! We will also post the entries on the blog and you, our dear customers, will pick a winner who best captured the essence of the quarterly "element." Our winner will receive a gift card to the store and will be prominently featured in our blog and newsletter.

Because this quarters element is Fire, here are some photos to give you an idea of what we have available in the shop to get you started!

Hazel Knits Sailors Delight is a wonderful option for handmade socks, scarves, hats, and shawls/stoles! It's a warm, and welcoming colorway with deep reds, oranges, yellows and hints of brown and rich burgundy. Consider knitting the ever-popular Clapotis, or the Clementine Shawlette to take advantage of the 400 yards you get per skein!

Sheep Shop Sheep One and Two, in colorway G049, is another--worsted & bulky--option for knitters and crocheters! The reds are vivid, and this yarn would be perfect for Calorimetry (an incredibly quick knit), or a pair of Fetching--or have a fun evening experimenting with felting!

You can also sew a tote, baby quilt, make place-mats, napkins, pillow cases, skirts, etc.! We have a lot of wonderful textiles in the shop, including designs by Moda, Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Marcus Brothers, and Free Spirit to choose from! Pin It
